Bolts secure the ends of the handles (grips) to the rim of the wheel. I tightened the wedge (just like I did with the mount for the steering wheel), but now nothing scrolls. To attach the end mirror from the exterior, I swapped out one of the bolts with a stud with a long nut. The sprocket and the back wheel of the bike can be used as access points for the lock. There are benefits: Looks nice, feels well, and may be entered without a driver's license. By the way, you can fit it in the trunk of a Citroen C4 car if you take out the steering wheel, the headlight, and the front wheel. The negatives: I'd prefer a lighter load. There is no place to attach your bags. Clamps on the back fork were necessary to prevent undue stress from being applied to the wing's mounting thread. (Always had a big bag on my back.)
