It's only primed, and that's bad!
Sturdy cardboard with pattern cut out. The gate came with dents and was obviously only primed. The hinges are about as cheap as it gets for the weight of the wood and I doubt the durability during use. I needed this gate so I salvaged it and painted it with a high quality white trim paint to match the house. It was tedious to draw and wasn't supposed to cost $50. The gate serves the purpose I bought it for but costs half what I paid for.
