I bought these to replace the corded blinds in a room. They were easy to install, just screw in the holders and the blind clips in. The mechanism is smooth, just be aware that cordless blinds need to be opened by using the handle in the middle to keep them straight (which keeps the internal cords from getting caught).These are light filtering, so in addition to getting more light in the room during the day, people outside can see shadows of what is in the room at night when lights are on.Overall, they do the job and I don't have to worry about the cat getting in the cords.
