*Please note that several pet lovers have a large dog and 3 cats in the home. One of my cats (grandfather) had an insect bite that he wouldn't leave alone. I bought him a soft decorative cone. Now I spoil my bitch, she loves her toys and often gets new enrichment. I put the cone on my cat and because it looks like a toy out of the corner of my eye, I watched as my dog grabbed the cone with my cat inside and lifted it straight up into the air (grandpa's 15lbs)! Scared I was able to stop it and suffice it to say we won't be using that particular soft cone. Of course I know better, because to the eyes it just looks like a toy. Lesson learned. I just want other families with multiple animals to think about it. I also never leave the house with dents on my animals. Again I had a friend who had terrible results from it. I hope this is food for thought. As for the soft taper, it has an adjustable drawstring to tighten around the neck. I would also trim off the excess string so the toe doesn't snag when the animal scratches it. It is the same as the picture, soft, plush and comfortable.
