Review on πŸŒ€ BLACK+DECKER BCF5211R Ceiling Fan, 52 inch, Brown: Efficient and Stylish Cooling Solution for Your Space by Alma Carter

Good air movement; an attractive addition to your interior. Nothing for inexperienced installers!

This fan starts at +1 right out of the box: it looks better than 90% of the ceiling fans on the market. As soon as you plug it in, you'll find that its performance matches. I don't notice any excessive bounce or noise, and it moves air fairly efficiently. The best thing about this fan is the remote control. We installed this fan in our bedroom and if you want to turn the fan on and off before going to bed or waking up at night, the remote control means you don't have to get out of bed and go to the switch or pull the chain. There are downsides, however, and they're all included with the install. 1. I took off a star because installing the fan requires two people: one person holds it and the other connects the wires. It is not necessary; I have another ceiling fan that was easy (pun intended) to install as it included a small hook on the mounting bracket to hold the fan while you hook the wires together. It's a simple addition that the best fans have. 2. If you follow the instructions carefully, you will never attach blades! The instructions and diagram show the assembly of the blade mounts but do not say that the blades must be placed on the mounts between the bolts and nuts. 3. The blades (after you attach them to the brackets!) are attached to the motor in a clearly non-standard way. To do this, loosen 10 screws from the motor through the slot in the top of the lamp while turning the motor. You then need to hold the blades one at a time while you reinsert the screws through the same small slot. Make sure you have a long-bladed screwdriver, preferably a magnetic one. If you have a ceiling fan or two installed, you should be able to install that as well, but be prepared to get frustrated along the way. However, I do not recommend this as the first step in installing a ceiling fan.
