I love healthy ingredients

I have a picky Quaker parrot. His name is Chevy. Chevy is a feathered (charming) poop, food snob. I've finally switched Mr. Food Snob from a seed-only diet to Zupreem pellets. Everything was going well until I decided to go one step further. i did this The worst thing a bird can imagine. I tried to feed him something healthy! No artificial colors or flavors! No added sugar for extra sweet taste! horror! Chevy was confused. Chevy had a plan. He chewed all of these pellets into a fine powder and left them in the bowl to give the impression that he had actually eaten the pellets. His plan worked out well. The food kept coming. Surely the sack will be ready soon and he'll be able to get other food, right? Then something even worse happened to Chevy. Something Chevy, for all his schemes and intrigues, hadn't planned: He (gasp) was starting to like this food. Chevy didn't know what to do. He couldn't let his husband know he liked it. Then he would sneak into the food bowl and eat it when his person wasn't around, leaving his other granular food to eat when the person was around. The bowl was soon empty. What to do?! He couldn't get the person to realize that he was actually eating and ENJOYING the food, but he wanted more! He slept that night and made up new plans to get to the food bag, open it, and eat the goodies inside. When he woke up the next morning, to his amazement, his bowl was full again! The crisis was averted. Now he could pretend to hate pellets while secretly loving them, and he relaxed in the knowledge that the pellet fairy refilled his bowl every night while he slept. The Moral of Chevy Story: Don't give up trying new things with your picky bird. In the end you will both understand what is better and cheaper. Much luck!
