Bought this unit to use in my fifth wheel. First impressions are that it is well made and feels solid. Cooling fins on the back wouldn't be my first choice, but I used 1/4" spacers to ensure good airflow. However, I wasn't convinced by the design of the mount. Block on the back with cooling fins. In other words, you don't really have access to the screw heads to tighten them for a secure fit.This was my issue as it comes in a trailer and I'm afraid a good pothole will cause it to fly off the wall.It comes with a nice template supplied to mark holes for drilling I used a nut to hold it in place but then again the slots really don't show and anyone who has installed this type of gear knows how difficult it is can be aligning two holes, let alone four.The cable connectors are large and handy and can easily accommodate 8AWG cables.The display is easy to read but bears up backlight. The guide on how to work with the menu didn't seem the best, but yeah I had a day off. Eventually I found a YouTube video that helped me. The bonus (in my opinion) is that the unit has a number of "discharge" ports that can be configured to run more or less ancillary equipment that is not part of your normal electrical system. , and there are pre-installed programs for it. Items like fans for batteries or maybe a string of lights to turn them on at night.
