Although the remote control came without any packaging other than the actual letterhead, it was undamaged. The hardest part was getting it to work with my TV. It took almost an hour of troubleshooting to connect the remote. I was finally able to do this after pressing fast forward and enter at the same time (I think) after turning off the TV and holding the power button for 60 seconds. I'm not sure if all the steps were necessary, but out of desperation and frustration I did them all and it worked.
