Do not purchase this item if you have an old home with used or "cracked" outlets. My house is 32 years old. This wall mount couldn't support the weight of the Google Wi-Fi hotspot in any outlet in my house. Based on the amount of positive feedback, it's probably safe to say that these mounts work for folks with relatively new outlets. In my case it didn't work. I throw these items away instead of returning them because it's not worth taking Revane's smack on my return report. Based on what I've learned, I'm looking for brackets that can be securely mounted to an outlet or wall so that the plug doesn't carry all of the weight.
