Description of Google WiFi Outlet Holder 🔌 Mount Stand: No Messy Screws! (1-Pack)

Please note that this version works with the original version with the rectangular plug. If you have the new round plug (fall 2020 to present) please see our pro version (second picture and link below) which works with both versions!. Now any open electrical outlet in your home or business can become a Google WiFi beacon, making the setup of your network so much simpler. The Spot for Google WiFi uses the cord that comes with your router and wraps it neatly around our patented “Cord Groove Organizer”. Can easily be moved from room to room, unlike all the other mounts on the market which require permanent placement. Ports are open on the side and rear for installing data cables if desired; or simply use as a stand-alone beacon.

Google Wi-Fi anywhere there is a power outlet.

This is perfect for my needs. Frees up countertop space and keeps the extra power cord out of sight. This allowed me to go from an "OK" signal in the farthest rooms to a "Great" signal by adding a signal at an outlet in the hallway. The hole for the ethernet cable was perfect for the washing machine in my garage that uses wired feedback.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Neat and compact block that frees the second fork.

They really should come straight from Google in a box. The best place for my router is by my office door, but I don't have a desk there. I have an outlet so everything works. Be sure to follow the instructions for coiling the cord (each groove gets 2 cord loops and I missed that the first time). I should have gotten 3 packs. Now I buy 2 packs.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Concise instructions

A very handy device to protect furniture from any electronics and to hide ugly cables. Other reviews about the plug falling out of the socket are true if you have old loose sockets. (My socket is new, solid and the whole gizmo stays in place.) However, you can still use this by simply replacing the old socket with a new one - it's not advanced math and can only be done with a screwdriver. But don't forget to turn off the circuit breaker first!

  • Cool product

Do not buy this item if you have an old one.

Do not purchase this item if you have an old home with used or "cracked" outlets. My house is 32 years old. This wall mount couldn't support the weight of the Google Wi-Fi hotspot in any outlet in my house. Based on the amount of positive feedback, it's probably safe to say that these mounts work for folks with relatively new outlets. In my case it didn't work. I throw these items away instead of returning them because it's not worth taking Revane's smack on my return report. Based on what I've

They do their job and still look good doing it.

We bought a Google Home Wi-Fi system a while ago, and while the routers look good, they're still cumbersome to keep on counters and shelves around the house at home. After doing a little research we decided to take the plunge and buy them and we're glad we did! The units themselves are as small as it gets while still holding routers securely when hung. They're easy to install (twist cord behind you and plug into an outlet) and had no trouble holding them in place. Now the routers are not…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • There are flaws

The plastic case uses clever geometry, which I appreciated when I saw the router hanging flat against the wall and the Decora outlet cover well exposed. The built in cord cavity works but it would be useful to have some ribs along the inner surface of the spiral channel to hold the power cord securely as the lack of such a feature makes coiling difficult. Also, I've learned that most cords unravel easily, making plugging the power adapter into an outlet more than necessary. After installing…

Great idea, but not perfect

These things are a good buy for the price. I had two Google Wifi extenders that I wanted to hook/mount to an outlet. Pros: First, the cables hide themselves perfectly. This will make the cord lay nice without damaging the cords. It also looks great when actually hanging. Finally, open access to the operation of Ethernet is also a great advantage. Cons: The space where the power cord goes through the plastic to "mount" the device to the outlet doesn't fit the space. It's a millimeter or two too…

Handy mount if you don't like clutter

This is a great product if you have Google WiFi hubs all over your house. This is a simple product and I believe you can 3D print something similar; but given the cost, it's probably easier to just buy the product. Either way, if you're the kind of person who doesn't like cables strewn everywhere, or if you like something to look tidy, these mounts allow you to wrap your Google WiFi hub's power cord around it and plug it straight into an outlet. , resulting in a hub that takes up minimal space.

  • An absolute legend

Great idea and I'm still using it, but it needs a design upgrade.

****UPDATE #1: I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars out of 5. I've used this and haven't had a device failure yet, which has been one of my issues. I still think the design could be improved, but a comparison of all existing Google Wifi mounts will do.**** OLD RESULT: This is the Google Wifi mount I've been using for the past few weeks. Due to some minor design issues, it currently gets 3 stars out of 5. It seems like some 1-3 star reviews have something similar. Here's my experience: Pros…
