Review on Google WiFi Outlet Holder 🔌 Mount Stand: No Messy Screws! (1-Pack) by Christopher Jackson

****UPDATE #1: I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars out of 5. I've used this and haven't had a device failure yet, which has been one of my issues. I still think the design could be improved, but a comparison of all existing Google Wifi mounts will do.**** OLD RESULT: This is the Google Wifi mount I've been using for the past few weeks. Due to some minor design issues, it currently gets 3 stars out of 5. It seems like some 1-3 star reviews have something similar. Here's my experience: Pros: Google Wifi router mount Provides rear access for ethernet cables to exit Clean appearance and white matches Google Wifi Holds the power cord well Cons (and some of them downgrade the product): 1) Doesn't allow the power adapter to plug (male part) must be fully inserted into the outlet as there is excess plastic on the sides that needs to be "sandwiched" between the power supply and the wall outlet. --> This is leading to some people saying their mount and wifi will fall off the wall onto the floor --> If you get a new outlet you may not experience this, but it's still annoying --> If so old outlet, this could be an electrical safety issue 2) If you plan to put it in the kitchen and have an apron or countertop that slides out vertically, the bracket may interfere with the cord --> In my case, that just forces me the top one socket --> This is not exactly a design flaw, but it is a nuisance as all the sockets in the kitchen are positioned as shown in the photo --> Be sure to measure this distance before purchasing this product if you do too need a top socket. The photos I've attached show some of the issues I've encountered as well as the current setup. Hopefully in the future Mount Genie will have an updated mount (maybe version 2) that changes the thickness of the plastic next to the PSU, allowing the PSU to be fully seated. I want to continue supporting US companies (FBA in this case) so hopefully an update will come soon.
