Review on Hoco BS30, 5W Portable Acoustics, Grey by Amrit Barla ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend.

I bought a column to create a certain atmosphere and strictly for a certain song. Tested. All the sounds that were accented for me are perfectly audible (the overflow of the triangle, the ringing of the piano, the basses at the end). Then I tested it on different genres: beat-box, rap, rock, classical, music for meditation, opera, pop vocals. Each genre has its own peculiarity of sound, and I was curious whether the speaker would reflect these sounds. My verdict: perfect. Moreover, I was curious how the speaker would work if I created radio interference and increased the distance between devices. With a large apartment size (117 sqM), the speaker quietly switched songs from different rooms, moreover, it caught from the hall of the landing (about 15 meters away). A little heavy (weight a little over 500g), but these are trifles. It is stable and at full volume there is no rattling. Didn't guess. Recommend.

Pros
  • Excellent sound and no matter the song / melody of what genre is set (rock - basses play clearly, classics - instruments are heard, music for meditation - the murmur of a stream is distinguishable); design; the weight.
Cons
  • When connected, a connection alert is triggered and this is a little annoying. But this is only at the very beginning. Then everything is in normal mode.
