Review on Powerbeats Pro Totally Wireless Earphones by Jeff Arellano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the real "Monster Beats " - great sound

However, I am a reasonable person. Before you say "no” to something unknown, you need to test it. And I took the brand new Apple PowerBeats Pro for a test. I categorically did not like the previous generation of PowerBeats - the sound is rather weak for such a price, and the convenience is not the best with wires behind the neck. The question of convenience rose especially relevant when fully wireless Airpods appeared on the market. It is a pity that these headphones do not hold in my ear at all. Returning to the topic of PowerBeats Pro, I was bribed by the vacuum structure of the headphones and the complete absence of wires. The case in which these headphones are charged is of particular desire: it is black, matte, very comfortable and seems to have come to us from the future. I don’t know why, but every time I opened the case, I felt genuine pleasure, as if you felt with your fingertips every ruble that you invested in this device. Not everyone will be comfortable with this charging case, since it is large in size and will hardly fit into a jeans pocket - if you always carry a purse or a backpack with you, then there will be no problems. That's all, leave the case alone and once again return to the PowerBeats Pro themselves. I really liked the sound - it is lively, bassy (a feature of all Beats) and, according to the sensations, does not sag anywhere. I liked the sound more than on my favorite Sennheiser, and this happens extremely rarely! Headphones do not fall off, no matter how hard you try - the behind-the-ear mount knows its business. Therefore, any kind of sport and activity, except for swimming and surfing and ... everything related to immersion in water, PowerBeats will pull. However, they still have protection from sweat and raindrops. Behind-the-ear fittings will take a little getting used to and some discomfort may be felt at first, but this is a matter of habit. Of course, heavy airpods users won't be too happy. Speaking of active airpods users. People who are used to tapping their ears for touchless control will find similarities here as well. Each PowerBeats Pro has an active main button for pause/rewind/answer calls and small buttons on the top for volume control. Yes, the so-called "taps” (or tapping) do not work here, the button needs exactly what to press, but I did not experience any disappointment in the product; that for touch, that for pressing - the time is spent the same. If you are too lazy to touch anything at all, just call Siri and ask the voice assistant to work for you. Operating time up to 9 hours of the headphones themselves. With the charging case, you can enjoy music non-stop all day long. Of course, almost no one does this, so I had enough charge for a week. The very feeling of using headphones without wires delighted me. I often walked around the house with them, traveled in transport, and did not hesitate to wear them on the street. I have never worn any other ears so often. Despite the high price, there was no fear of accidentally dropping the headphones on the subway or while running (and they could only snatch them from you with your ear). The microphones work just fine, and you no longer have to hold the phone to your ear to talk on the phone. It's damn convenient. Looking through the lens of PowerBeats Pro experience, the $20,000 price tag doesn't seem outrageous. Yes, the cost is high, but I get no less. This is by far the best product of the Beats brand in my opinion. Real monster.
