Described as a lid but the design does not match the shape of the Chemex coffee maker. The spout, which looks like a depression or gutter, is not sealed, allowing heat to escape sideways, making an iced coffee in minutes. It is better to replace the filter with ground coffee after the initial filling in the coffee maker and rotate the paper 45-180 degrees so that the thinner part of the wet filter fits against the channel, insulating and preventing heat from escaping. Also the price is significantly higher than the Chemex website which is $9 instead of $14.
