The included plug is rectangular and will NOT slide over a car plug with slightly rounded edges, nor will it remove the protective rubber cap fitted to most OEM plugs. The solution is simple: buy the correct end connector and cut off the one that comes with it. Solder connector less and it's good. For the rest.
