Review on πŸ”§ Lutz 21001 15-in-1 Ratchet Screwdriver, Blue: Versatile and Efficient Tool for Quick Repairs by Dave Hersma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed multidriver.

I've always used Klein multi-head screwdrivers exclusively, but lately I've ended up going with Phillips #3 bits have plenty on hand and none, the Klein driver doesn't have Phillips #3 tips. This Lutz driver gets great reviews from both Revain and other tool websites. Thought I'd give it a try and it could at least be slipped into a kitchen drawer as a driver for home use. It is great! The pen is very smart, it has a place to store bits while being a comfortable and useful pen without being too big or bulky. I was skeptical of the ratchet - I generally prefer drivers not to have a ratchet as it can be brittle and just makes the screwdriver unwieldy. This is not the case here! The ratchet is all metal and the driver is not too big or bulky. The selection of beats is large. This is a well designed tool. I've bought a lot of multidrivers with the back ripped off to reveal bit storage - things like that always break and are very fragile. The bit storage of this driver looks very solid.

Pros
  • With just a slight turn of the spring-loaded bit selector knob, the chamber opens for easy access and storage, making bit changing easier
Cons
  • Zero
