Works perfectly! Maybe a better igniter is needed.
This lantern is definitely good for weed control in your area. Just make sure everything you really want to survive is somewhere near where you set fire! The heat radiated by this torch will wither or kill most plants within 3 feet in diameter. It should be noted that the fuze on mine was not very reliable. The spark end fitted freely into the end of the torch and had to be constantly adjusted to produce a usable spark. The cable broke and no longer works. I plan on replacing it with a battery powered grill lighter in the future. At this point, lighting a flashlight with a longer range lighter is easy enough.
