Run and workout but the maps and music of the new Fenix 5x plus convinced me. In the first week I did 4 runs of 7-10 miles jogging, sprint training, yoga classes and even drawing dots around the city to check the maps. GPS: I didn't notice much difference in my GPS function between 235 and 5x plus. GPS is a bit faster, but that's about it. Maps: I'm in Africa and I have rudimentary maps on my device. I'll be back in the States in a couple of weeks so I'll be able to test North American maps. At the same time, it is a good device for me as an emergency device. Music: I only used music when running outdoors and used my phone when I worked out at the gym and on the treadmill. I do notice some dips from my Jays when they're first paired, but that goes away after a minute or two. I also noticed that my Spotify playlist doesn't stay on the device when I switch to music from iTunes, so I had to re-sync the playlist to my device, which isn't a deal breaker, just a quirk of the device. Perhaps over time they will fix this with software updates. The battery lasts 7 days and the battery is just under 40% which I like, but I'm curious to see how long it lasts before the battery dies. If it lasts 12-14 days I'll be happy with that as it works with the way I use the watch. I think one day I'll have to take it off. When I start training for my budding ultra running hobby, I will see the battery last over time as long as a few 10 mile and sprint workouts don't drain the battery too much. Height: I'm 5.7 and 170 pounds. I exercise 4 times a week and run/walk a few miles a week, I carry heavier items than this watch. Was heavier than my 235, yes, and was it noticeable at first, yes, but I got used to it after the first few days and hardly notice it now. I also wear it day to day with t-shirts, jeans and sneakers or a long sleeve shirt, pants and boots and it rarely looks out of place or chunky. I wouldn't insist on a business suit or catsuit, but that's my opinion. I hope this helps someone, I'm not a triathlete or marathon runner, I'm just a regular guy who needs to work out to stay fit. travel a lot so I think this device suits the lifestyle with its features.
