My sunshine hates hard perches especially after her nails have been trimmed. However, she loves those rope poles. They are very flexible, so they can be easily adjusted in length and height. She also loves to chew on it. No matter what toy we give her, JW Comfy Perch for Birds is all she wants to chew on. However, these perches are very well made, taking her months to chew through one of them. And even then, they didn't even come close to destroying it. Sounds like a lot to me!
