Review on Samsung T5 Portable SSD MU PA500B by Dimitar Tsonov ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The quality is worse than I have ever seen, a complete disappointment

SSD is one of the quickest products now available, is of a high quality, and does not take up a lot of space; therefore, in 2022, it will still be among the best. Simple design suitable for a novice, consisting only of an aluminum box fitted with a type-c connector. At the very least, they may present you with a cover as a gift. T5 was the more affordable option when compared to the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, which I considered purchasing. Despite the fact that the latter product is more aesthetically pleasing, I decided to go with T5. After installing Windows To Go with a bitlocker, the performance appears to be the same as it would be on the internal SSD (evo 850). The flight is unremarkable. By the way, if someone downloads Windows To Go, they should be aware that the most recent version, 10k 1809, will not start because Windows itself has a problem with the USB drivers. The solution is either to set the version to 1803 or to replace the wpprecorder.sys file in the C:WindowsSystem32drivers folder with an older version from 1803; however, you must remember to establish access rights for the file. After another two years of use while connected to the computer, the system started writing that the device did not have enough power after it had been used for those two years. After 15 minutes, the solid-state drive (ssd) reached such a high temperature that the cable became affixed to it and almost caused a fire. I brought it to a service center on Hong Kongskaya, and a week later they emailed me with the response "violation of the operating conditions" and refused to fix it under warranty. They were unable to specify which conditions had been broken.

Pros
  • Speed Price
Cons
  • The wire is somewhat too lengthy. Design There is no protection from falling objects or dust. Failure after two years of service.
