My cats are indoors. I have a very fat cat. I keep track of his weight and am tired of looking around in my arms to see the scales. It came with a pretty good recommendation. I don't use this for groceries, but I saw one of the reviews that showed how you can place a jar on the scale, zero the jar, and then when you fill the jar weigh the item at its true weight. I tried. That works great. I highly recommend this product. I didn't know if I could put the cat on the scales to weigh her. It took him a few times to figure it out and now it doesn't bother him anymore.
