Worked great to fix a burned out spark plug on the Crown Vic 4.6LA. Don't lose the injector O-rings. I ran the faucet through some lube to try to catch the aluminum shavings and flushed the faucet frequently (2-3 full turns and then back) with gasoline and brake cleaner and reapplied the lube. I'm sure the vast majority of the chips have been captured. Be careful how deep you install the replacement sleeve. It seems very easy to screw the bushing in too far, which in theory could put the new spark plug in contact with the piston. The top of the sleeve should be flush with the top of the male port in the head; It's hard to see how far you've unscrewed the jack. Use high temp red Loctite instead of silicone to hold it in place after you degrease the new threaded head. Slow down. Slower. Slower. The alternative is to detach the head, which is a great pain. Don't rush this renovation.
