This mold gives the soap a beautiful and professional look. I suppose if someone tried it they could use it for candles as well, although they would come out a bit larger than a tealight. Maybe the size of three of them melted and glued together in a candle. Silicone is very durable and stays cool even when hot liquid soap is poured inside. My only complaint is that you have to be very careful about where you store it. If this is a place that can get hair or lint; You will have a hard time removing it. Also, it shouldn't be kept in a place where it can be crushed as it will stay that way and turn your soap into a weird flattened circle shape.
