You get what you pay for

When I opened the box, this one wasn't in a bag like another one I bought. But when I unfolded it, I noticed how crappy the stitching was. Threads hanging, unfinished, crooked seams, cheap. Anyway, who cares, it's going to hang outside in sun, wind and rain, and if we like how they work, we'll purchase better quality ones in a year or two after these disintegrate. So, even after you measure an area because you have lots of places to secure this, don't get excited that it'll go up well. I have lots of pine trees, and that means lots of triangular areas. I have two buildings, house and guest house, plus a fence. Seemed like a no brainer. (Laughing hysterically for a moment.)We attempted to mount this to the outer wall of guest house, then to a couple trees. We don't have any triangle that matches up to the shape, even though we have lots of triangular area. So now this shade is back in the box until we can try to use it on the house and patio. Knowing what we know, we'll mount it to the house and then wherever the 3rd point comes to, we have to sink a 4x4 in the ground to finish mounting. All I'm saying is don't sink a bunch of poles or 4x4's before you're 100% sure this will work. The 16x16x16 is mounted but a tad saggy on one side due to crappy angles. We did get it mounted to the trees, and the water just happens to drain off exactly where we want it to. If it gets us through a couple more summers, great. By the way, we're in Flagstaff AZ, so although the temperatures aren't like southern AZ, (we're at 7000 ft), our UV rays are always EXTREME for about 5-6 months. We'll see how this holds up.

Pros
  • Rectangular
Cons
