It's not cold yet (that is, I didn't check it in Moscow in the winter), but my son likes it and it seems thin enough for a regular car seat. Pleasant feeling of fur quality. We bought a size up in case he needs more layers to change. Edited to say he loves this coat and says it's warm enough to play outside (they stay inside when the wind chill is above -10).
