I fitted it to my Corolla 00' and like the other customer I heard the same knock. I think it needs spacers although they came without them and the box says they are not needed due to the design. Or maybe you need a new set of clips even though the previous ones are in good condition. The good news is that the pads should slip off easily in the future, but the bad news is that they should be left as they are, the pads are loose and the car sounds like it would while driving on the road literally falling apart. I have more pressing issues with my old car so I'll take a look later to fix the noise. Interestingly I have Wagner ThermoQuiets on another machine and they came with gaskets, clamps, grease etc. They only came with the pads themselves. If I can't reassure them I wouldn't take them again, I would take others that are really tight and don't rattle.
