They do their job but they're badly done. I haven't used the templates yet, so I can't comment on how they would work. I'm sure they will do the job but they are very flimsy and flimsy. The canisters themselves work well, but there's not much to look at. Two of the three plastic lids have already fallen apart on the sides so that they no longer snap onto the canisters properly. But for the price I wasn't expecting much and they really shake off the powder. My wife used one to dust homemade pasta with flour to keep it from sticking and used cocoa powder for dusting/decoration when baking. We didn't use the third one, maybe that's why the lid didn't crack.
