Great shakers. Kids click and stay! i love the size Perfect to leave on the counter but small enough to put away! I've actually used one to fill up on baking soda and set it on my counter by the sink to sprinkle over pots and plates that need a little boost to dislodge stuck food. This was just an added bonus because we filled the other two with cocoa and powdered sugar and enjoy lightly dusting our treats with a touch of flavor. I really wish I had all my finely ground toppings in their own stainless steel shakers, but at first glance I knew they were making a comeback. Each shaker has dark circles (for lack of a better word description) on a glossy surface that just makes me unsure if they are food grade SS made from water. I only put food in SS, glass and silicone as there are serious health issues this has also really opened my eyes to the damage the food we eat, the toxins, do to our bodies.

I have this to dust my french toast with powdered sugar :) works like a charm. The metal lid of the grill allows you to "sprinkle” powdered sugar well. Plastic filters for various designs seem a bit cheap, but what do you expect at this price? Generally a very good price as there are three of these in a set. I am very happy with the little shaker I just bought! As the holidays get closer, I bake and cook like hell and end up getting what I have at home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hand washed them before first use but while drying I found the remains of canisters. I ended up using clean white paper towels to work all the rough edges and the grayscale continued to come off. I hand wiped with fresh paper towels for a few minutes and ended up leaving no residue. The rest mostly stuck in the creases and creases of the metal - especially around the edge and in the area where the lid is screwed on.
