I used one for regular sugar to sprinkle on buns and it worked great. I've used the second for powdered sugar and it works well, but not very well. He pours out a layer, but the handles are too small and the sugar gets stuck. To get a few shakes, you have to hit it vertically to loosen the sugar and then flip it over for a second shake. It's tedious trying to sugar coat a few cookies at a time. In the end he took off the lid and only his fingers. I love that the shakers have plastic lids to keep moisture and bugs out of the canister so I will still use them for smaller jobs.
