Review on Hide Drink Leather Collar Handmade by Carolyn Lawson

I really liked this collar. The leather is high quality, if a bit stiff since it's new. The shape is a bit odd due to the way it was packaged, but the presentation adds to the experience and is no doubt worn well. Stitching is even and slightly crooked in places showing the man sewed (still looks nice just not perfectly even - looks natural compared to machine made perfection). The main problem is the round metal part, it can be a bit sharp on the outside edge. This is not harmful to the dog, but can scratch soft hands when putting on and taking off a fussy dog's collar. One final note, be sure to subtract a few inches from the overall length of this collar when sizing for your dog, as the buckle is a few inches from the end. The last picture shows a moss green collar next to a stone blue one, bought from another brand from the same company (probably made in the same place). Overall I am delighted with the quality and finish of this collar, especially for the price. I am very sorry to have to return because it is too wide for my brachycephalic boy. I wish this brand would do something more subtle for a smaller audience. The review, which is not sponsored or endorsed by the brand, was really impressed and satisfied with this piece.
