Will damage finish but prevent rotation

I thought I needed this Supergrip mounting compound with seatpost. I had to use an adapter between the aluminum frame and the seatpost. Seatpost manufacturers warn the user about the correct seatpost clamp torque. Since there are internal parts that move vertically, over-tightening may affect the movement of the pin or damage the dropper outer tube. The compound increases traction without requiring excessive torque. Deburring the inner diameter of the seat post tube is also important for a good grip. I have a mountain bike with 1/2 tube preload. The welds for the strut deformed the seatpost tube. An adjustable reamer was required to remove 0.15mm of aluminum. The moral is to make sure the parts fit without any unwanted interference. I don't think a normal setup between the two parts would require this composition. I install a dropper post that fits into the seatpost tube. I will not use this connection as proper torque measured with a torque wrench will clamp without slipping. In addition, the composition does not damage the finish. A little excess torque on a stock seatpost would be fine. Just find the weakest link (yoke, bolt, post) and don't exceed the recommended strength. Another thought: Torque can be applied to dry or wet threads. If a lubricant is applied to the threads, a reduction in torque value is required. Torque dry x 0.6 = torque lubricated (>/= 30W oil, EP, grease). SUPERGRIPโ„ข Resin comes in a toothpaste tube in the same size, cap and color as Park Tool: ANTI-GRIP COMPOUND, POLYLUB 1000โ„ข. The only difference with these tubes is that the heat seal end of the tube is a different color. I used green masking tape to mark this connection with the noun and caution. Hopefully if anyone other than me uses these vials they will see the label, read it and see the warning.
