A must have for the do-it-yourselfer

If you repair your bike regularly, this assembly compound is a must! Since I work almost exclusively on my own bikes and use relatively expensive parts on all my bikes, I quickly realized that bulk is a must for all high-end bikes. This material is ideal for carbon seat posts and carbon handlebars. I've also used it to great effect on a single bolt seatpost head that tended to loosen no matter how tight the bolt was tightened. This is a paste that appears to be made from clear light blue grease and white beach sand. Maybe this is a more sophisticated handle, but it's there. This product is used for clamping aluminum and carbon alloy parts with lower clamping force (less torque on the clamp bolts) so you don't crush the carbon parts or break the ends of the aluminum clamps. Will damage finish but prevent rotation

I thought I needed this Supergrip mounting compound with seatpost. I had to use an adapter between the aluminum frame and the seatpost. Seatpost manufacturers warn the user about the correct seatpost clamp torque. Since there are internal parts that move vertically, over-tightening may affect the movement of the pin or damage the dropper outer tube.
