I had an old version of the Gub mount that was bought less than a year ago and worked fine for me. I recently upgraded my iPhone to 12pro. I also bought a silicone case with a built-in kickstand. The stand has increased in height by a few millimeters. The old version's claws weren't high enough. This version has the same solution. The phone fits snugly on the claws. The adjustment knob does not use a spring mechanism. As a result, you can dress it up to your comfort level. I hope I don't upgrade my phone any time soon.
