We like this collar because it's small enough for kittens. Our kitten started wearing it at about 9 weeks / 2 pounds. I highly recommend a jingle collar when introducing a new kitten to older cats in your home - it will discourage the kitten from sneaking up on cats! It is very easy to open/remove, which is very important for safety. If the collar gets caught on something, it will open to prevent the kitten from being injured or trapped. We removed the bow because it's a bit bulky for a little kitty, we'll probably return it when she's older.
