Size was as expected, under boy sizing it shows inches from toe to heal, all I did was measure my son's foot with a ruler and then order the correct size! They fit great and he likes the construction equipment on the shoes. I feel like people who fret about the sizing of the shoes just ordered what they normally order. Be sure to measure your child's foot before ordering. Sizes should be the same for girls too, I think inch is only listed under boys.
