Review on 🐱 Premium Gray Litter Champ: Odor-Free Cat Litter Disposal System by Lauren Campbell

Lucky Champ vs. LitterLocker vs. Litter Genie. Four months later.

We had a LitterLocker II which we really liked. Unfortunately, they have stopped selling them in the US (except at gas stations). Apparently they now license some of their products (not the more expensive design/clothing lines unfortunately) to Litter Genie for distribution in the US. So, Litter Genie is essentially LitterLocker II or Plus, just with a slightly different color and form factor. However, we settled on Lucky Champ before we knew it as it looked like the closest option available at the time. comparison is impossible. The Lucky Champ Shovel no longer attaches with a magnet as shown in most marketing materials and companion manual - there is now a hook attached to the side with sticky glue. The shovel hangs awkwardly - it's a cheap ready-made hook from a department store; not what the shovel is designed for. But don't worry - it just hangs awkwardly for a while as the hook will eventually fall off. The crowning glory of LitterLocker is their wasteful and expensive (but also wonderful) light-colored liners, which are now used in Litter Genie products. These multi-layered bags effectively retain odors, are easy to swap out, easy to tie, and won't tear so they remain watertight. Lucky Champ bags are smaller in every way. Instead of Lucky Champion, this product became known as the Pissing Tower in our family. Smells like cat pee. The whole time. Every month we clean the outside with soap and water but a few days of garbage collection and the smell just lingers. It's surprising how inefficient it is as a single task. We started adding silica and baking soda to the bags to absorb urine and reduce odor. It helps a lot. I believe Champ works better if you use a filler that already has additives in it. Our cat has allergies, so we use hypoallergenic litter. So much for convenience. We went back to LitterLocker bags via Litter Genie and I have to say it's nice to have a house that doesn't smell like urine. However, if cat piss is your thing, I highly recommend considering Lucky Champ.
