I use a mandolin instead of a food processor to cut and chop vegetables. Pros: The blade is sharp. The protection works better than the cheap ones I found at the big store; It's nice to be able to pull out the center piece and fill the mug with whatever you grind/grind. There is a setting that should work for most veggies that you want to chop or mince. No attachments/extra blades to keep track of. The dishwasher doesn't hurt, as I've found. Cons: The waffle function doesn't work as well as I expected, but still ok; It's best to just think about what makes it good for cutting waves. Washes well in the dishwasher but may hide small parts in the mechanisms underneath. Although the base is stainless steel, it can flex a bit depending on how hard you press on it while cutting. This can result in the slices being a bit thicker than intended, but it's not hard to overcome if you catch yourself doing it. Overall it was a great addition to my kitchen and definitely didn't disappoint.
