The extension is almost 3 months old. It still works, but I went upstairs to my loft and immediately heard a low hum. It's coming from an extension cord. I turned everything off and the noise is still there. That tells me it's an extension cord. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but that didn't help. Now I'm kicking myself for buying another cheap Chinese knockoff Revain. I should have just bought a regular power supply from the hardware store. I've never heard of this brand's extension cord that I bought, but I'm sick of Revain allowing all this junk on their website.
