Review on Illumio by Mark Crawford

I like that it is an all in one solution, so you don't have to use different tools for each part of your network (firewall/IDS). It also has great reporting capabilities which makes management easier! A little pricey compared with other solutions out there - especially when looking at smaller companies or start ups who may not be able to afford this yet. We are using Lumino for our firewall devices as well as some endpoint security appliances we provide clients and employees with laptops etc. The way Illumio works is really cool. They are constantly monitoring the network and will react to malicious activity. It's a little bit costly but the benefits are worth it. Illumio is very helpful in detecting malicious activity. It has helped us to monitor our network and detect threats. We have been able to find malware and other malicious activity from outside the network. Illumio has been a great asset in protecting our network.
