Very good investment

I highly recommend getting an obd2 reader, especially a wireless one that you can plug your phone into. Whether you are interested in cars and love statistics or you just want to save gas, you can search all possible information to know exactly what your cars are doing. You need to buy a third-party app to connect your phone to it. I bought dashcommand for $10 and am very happy with it. Low profile so it doesn't get in the way and isn't visible. This is useful when the check engine light comes on you can quickly check what's going on. You can check whether you can stop or continue immediately. You don't have to take your car to an auto repair shop to find out what's wrong. The reader is always on even when the machine isn't running, but if you don't like it they also sell a version with an on/off switch. . I personally would prefer it to be on all the time rather than constantly going on and off. It won't kill your battery. It heats up, but I don't see that as a problem because all the electronics heat up. Also remember if you are using an iPhone when connecting to an obd2 reader please set the static IP address 192.168.0.11, subnet 255.255.255.0 so that you can use cellular data when connecting. Anyway it's fun and I show it to everyone and they love it. I recommend you get one.
