NO. nope nope NO. Oh no. Why? #

Okay, I'm glad I only lost $16 on this purchase. Not a smart choice at all. Not even sure if it works and definitely sure it messed up my machine's brain after getting nowhere with the app and wifi setup. Get it out of your head. If you're a real mechanic, you know the score. You can't use anything cheap for vital components without risking damage. Used this on a GM car, the OBD port is plugged in, the light comes on but the supposed WiFi doesn't even show up. And then the car wouldn't start at

Good service, good product.

I repeat my original review. My first was less than outstanding due to being unable to keep in touch. Support got back to me right away and offered to send a replacement, which they did right away. The replacement works as advertised. At this point, your personal preferences will determine which app you use. Recommended OBD fusion. Customer service was outstanding. Such good customer service is unusual these days. I appreciate a company that aims to please the customer, not the bottom lineโ€ฆ

It was only a few bucks to fix some fuses

I had an OBD2 code P0141 Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 fault on my wife's car. So I looked up the cost of a new O2 sensor and found that there is a fuse for it. So I went back to the car, looked at the fuse box and there was no fuse, no spare parts. I asked my wife who looked at me like that and said she didn't even know where the fuse box was. We've owned the car since it was new, but she just had her oil change at a popular oil change location. Needless to say, she won't beโ€ฆ

Exactly what the doctor ordered

I suddenly/overnight have a "dead cylinder" on my 2015 Mustang GT. Google advised me to try a few things but it didn't help. When the check engine light came on, I decided the best thing I could do was get a code reader (I've never had one before). After working with it for a few minutes I saw an error indicating cylinder #5 coil malfunction. Upon examination, I found that the rat had completely chewed through the wires in the harness. It would be hard to spot, so the scanner saved me a lot ofโ€ฆ

Doesn't work with any app I've tried

I'm really sorry I ordered this. I am an experienced user of ELM OBD2 Bluetooth adapters. I ordered 5 of these Wi-Fi adapters and tested 3 of them with these Android apps: Torque, DashCommand, Car Scanner, OBD Auto, EOBD Facile. It outputs and connects to Wi-Fi, but applications do not recognize it. Two hours of frustration and $7 return postage is my price for failing to purchase this device. I contacted John at Veepeak and followed his suggestions as well as the printed instructions and FAQโ€ฆ

Works where Bluetooth doesn't

I installed a Joying Android 8.0 head unit on a 2006 Cadillac and purchased the Torque Pro software to compensate for the loss of information when I installed the OEM radio and the information removed center. I first bought an inexpensive Bluetooth adapter that lasted 30 days. I read some reviews and bought a second BT adapter from Veepeak. It never connected for some reason so I sent it back. Your customer service was good, my question was answered within a day. Finally I returned it. Afterโ€ฆ

Depends on what app you have DL

Great gadget! I managed to read/erase the permanent code on my 2012 Chevy Volt and 2005 Mini Cooper JCW. The apps offered by the product were rubbish so I bought "OBD Fusion" for $9.99 and was able to clear the codes. Lots of great information. The "Auto Doctor" app works similarly and was able to tell me the "battery (package) status" on my Volt, which I couldn't find anywhere else in submenus or diagnostics. Important information when buying an electric car. I have used with iPhone 6 and theโ€ฆ

Very good investment

I highly recommend getting an obd2 reader, especially a wireless one that you can plug your phone into. Whether you are interested in cars and love statistics or you just want to save gas, you can search all possible information to know exactly what your cars are doing. You need to buy a third-party app to connect your phone to it. I bought dashcommand for $10 and am very happy with it. Low profile so it doesn't get in the way and isn't visible. This is useful when the check engine light comesโ€ฆ
