Great gadget! I managed to read/erase the permanent code on my 2012 Chevy Volt and 2005 Mini Cooper JCW. The apps offered by the product were rubbish so I bought "OBD Fusion" for $9.99 and was able to clear the codes. Lots of great information. The "Auto Doctor" app works similarly and was able to tell me the "battery (package) status" on my Volt, which I couldn't find anywhere else in submenus or diagnostics. Important information when buying an electric car. I have used with iPhone 6 and the latest version of iOS. Works perfectly! Communication is great! It uses Wi-Fi so the connection never drops and reconnects when you get in/out of your car. It's nice to have OBDII that is somewhat future proof and not limited to one manufacturer's software. The success of this reader depends on which application you download. My favorite is OBD Fusion which clears codes and also monitors many sensors (MAF, intake temp, coolant temp, oil temp, etc.), speed, horsepower, torque, battery voltage, RPM, fuel consumption, boost, etc. So much excellent real-time information. In combination with this app, it has worked flawlessly on all my vehicles for the past year.
