Received very quickly in a well packaged box. The device was very compact, as expected, and had easy-to-understand instructions. Installation was easy and everything worked right away. The instructions showed a switch on the side of the unit to select power from a 9V battery or 12V DC adapter. My device didn't have a switch, but it turned on immediately when I plugged in the DC adapter. I used a ground wire as my turntable had the ground on the RCA connectors. The unit definitely cranked up the volume and the sound was excellent with no hiss. So far, that's all I've come to expect from a small, low-power device.
