Excellent and Portable: Art Paper
I bought these for a friend to draw in nature, but I was hooked myself! Binding is good. The cover is soft. Good quality paper (good enough for an amateur). Tip: Staple the page you are drawing to the rest of the book (as shown) to keep the paper from wrinkling. Peel it off gently as it will separate the layer of border paper, but shouldn't damage your painting.
