*UPDATE* I bought this juicer and read and followed T.'s instructions. I've been juicing for over twenty years and this is my third juicer. I made vegetable juice once or twice a day for two weeks and cut all the vegetables to the recommended size. Yesterday, after finishing my glass of juice, I found a BLACK PLASTIC CHIP at the bottom of my cup! As I cleaned the parts I saw that the burrs on the end of the auger were smooth and sharp on the edges where they were rounded and shiny. I saw a metal filter rip the plastic off the snail! DO NOT buy this juicer if you are not willing to drink plastic shavings! I have reported to Revain that this is a security vulnerability. I'm breastfeeding my baby and I'm scared of putting plastic shavings in it! I am outraged and shocked. They offered to replace this product but I don't feel comfortable risking the same situation again. I follow the instructions meticulously and this juicer has not been physically damaged. Common use has caused this. I was excited to find a chewable juicer at this price point and now I find out she's putting PLASTIC in my body in her quest to take care of her health! I am angry and disgusted. Please be careful and find another juicer. I had to believe the other reviewers who reported this. It was foolish of me to think they were using it incorrectly. What a fantastic juicer! I've been making juices (mainly vegetable juices) for many years and have used several juicers. This is the best I've used for flavor and cleaning (which is HUGE - so quick and easy to clean). I can't believe this juicer is available at such a fantastic price. I'm so glad I read the reviews and decided to order it. I have never had a juicer that was so quick and easy to clean. So calm. It effortlessly squeezes juice from cabbage leaves, fennel, citrus fruits and ginger. love love love!
