Help our picky eater stay interested at the table

Let's state the obvious here - our construction equipment obsessed 3 year old son just wanted to play with them when we first saw them at dinner presented - and he lost all interest in food. So we put them aside for a few days and set clear expectations for the next time we get them: It's for groceries. Now he happily pushes food into a forklift and chews. This helps him maintain his interest in the table long enough for him to eat until he's full! My husband thought some of the edges were sharp but I guess that's normal for a three year old. sticky feeling. Better quality than I expected!
