If you only need one anchor bolt, this anchor is a good choice. I use them to mount my Jeep on a 3/4" plywood platform covered in 1/4" hard rubber, then mount things like a portable cooler, power plants, and other camping gear. Other D-rings typically use 2 anchor bolts, which is great when you need something more durable, but only means 2 holes and bolts instead of 1. (By the way, these are the only ones I could find that perfectly replace the anchors that come with Jeeps.) Another difference: the ring on it is square instead of a D-ring, which is much better if you're 1-inch -Use nylon straps that twist around the curve of the D-ring (with rope or paracord that's no problem).
