3-wire circuit breaker and GFCI
I had a 3-wire cable in the basement to the study where I could have two separate circuits for my electrical needs: one circuit for outlets and another for the lighting. I wanted and needed both circuits to have ground fault protection. When using a three-wire line, a two-pole residual current circuit breaker is required here.
