My bike does not have rear suspension. I have to say that I really felt it at the contact points on my body during my very first long trip totaling 40 miles round trip. I tried desperately to get some spontaneous relief by reducing the air pressure. It helped a little, but not enough to really be a workable solution. As the ride progressed these tender spots became more and more tender and painful over time as the seat I was using also didn't offer any relief, it was hard too. For the most part, I've always avoided big seats. Compared to the bike frame, these seats looked disproportionate. In this situation, as this is my first bike with fat tires, I thought these concerns were unfounded due to the larger size of my bike and decided to give it a try. I'm so happy I did! This seat is just the right size for my bike as I care about aesthetics but more importantly it's a very comfortable seat! The suspension built into the seat provides plenty of bounce without bouncing. The contact points cover most of the surface, which ensures my weight is distributed more evenly without leaving painful or sore spots. All in all, this is a must-have update if you're in the same predicament as me!
