I bought a shorter product to hang fresh treats in 2 parrot cages. I felt that a longer one would be better suited for larger birds like cockatoos or parrots. Parakeets/parrots love to nibble and peck at things. With this treat holder, they can do that with healthy things like apple slices, broccoli, carrots, etc. Very easy to use: unscrew the bottom, remove the washer, "dunk” in some food, put the washer back in, wrap the bottom screw. I quickly realized that if you leave it in a cage overnight and have curious birds, they will turn the screw at the bottom until it falls off. It's not really a problem if you can find the screw and washer when you see they're missing. Once that happens, you're bound to screw up a little higher next time. They are easy to clean and the price is great. I modified mine to make it more convenient: I replaced the top "screw hook" with a snap hook because I was trying to hold the hook in place with one hand and twist the screw to snap it with attaching the other hand to the top of the cage took too long. Also, my 2 cages are huge and I didn't want to keep trying to mount the goodies hanger in the perfect spot. The carabiner replacing the included hook made this product absolutely perfect as I can quickly clip it in with one hand and take it out just as quickly and easily. Birds don't like having their space occupied, so it's best to use the "easy in and out" principle. I will definitely buy more because 7 parrots don't like to share. I highly recommend it!
